My animal ministry becoming your blessing

The reason I am beginning this endeavor is because this is what the Holy Spirit has laid on my heart to do. There are many people today that for one reason or another can no longer afford their pets and they are being dumped or taken to animal shelters in mass numbers as of late. This is a very sad fact, especially when there are children involved. But even without kids, its a very sad thing to happen to any animal to be suddenly displaced from their happy, safe home environment and suddenly thrust into a shelter with barking dogs, strange people and a cage surrounding you. It is traumatic for everyone involved.

I was a vet assistant for about 10 years. A vet assistant is not quite the same as a vet tech in that I did not go to school for this. I was/am a certified nursing assistant, had animals all my life, loved them and was/am very good with them. They respond to me well. I have and still do work in rescue with a local animal shelter (Hendricks County Humane Society) and have rescued animals of my own as well as being a foster mom to several:) So all that led to me working for a wonderful veterinarian, wonderful as in extremely knowledgeable. He was the only vet I have ever seen that could literally walk into the room, look at the animal and tell you what was wrong. Now, he would follow up with tests to back up his diagnosis...but 99.9% of the time he was right on the money. Amazing. So I was apprenticed under him and I and another girl were his only assistants. We not only cared for cats and dogs but also exotics as well as wildlife...so my job was never boring and I learned a LOT! I must say though, that my major expertise lies in cats and birds. So I will undoubtedly speak on them often:)

That is why I have begun this. Not for me, but for the animals and the people who love them. This is my ministry. I have a TON of experience and knowledge that I can and will share to save you money on vet bills and illnesses and help with behavior problems too. Happier healthier pets with less money spent can be done. I am disabled due to psoriatic arthritis and fibro myalgia...both very painful and debilitating. So, obviously I am not rolling in dough. But where there is a will there is a way and even more importantly...when it is the Fathers will He makes it happen!

Now let me get this out of the way. I am NOT a doctor, I am NOT a nurse, nor am I professing to be either. What I will share is MY experience and what I do or would do in any particular circumstance...now whether or not YOU do it is totally YOUR decision. I am simply sharing and not stating or suggesting that you should listen to me...YOU make your own decisions. So don't all you nay sayers come at me for trying to be what I am not because that is simply not the case.

Also, all the folks who love animals I am right there with you. But sometimes the animal lovers go a bit over the line, in my opinion. I do not want to see anyone attacked on here for any reason. We all make mistakes and we are all handling life to the best of our abilities. Its not my place to judge anyone and I won't allow attacks to be posted, just to make that clear. As Christians we should be trying to help others and showing the love of Christ as He lives in us. My intention is to help...human or animal or both.

So I leave you all with this. Begin thinking about what you want to know about or hear about. Dietary questions, behavioral aspects, questions about diseases, vaccines...whatever. If you don't come up with any...I will just begin sharing. Hopefully this will be a blessing to many.

I pray you all are blessed, protected and watched over...your entire households, from Momma and Daddy to children and pets. I pray a hedge of protection over each and every person who visits this blog. May Yah's angels encompass you all and guide your feet, your hands and all you do to be in His will always. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
